It was winter when my family and I went to Legoland. When it is winter all the rides are shut and so we couldn’t go on any of the rides.

When we entered Legoland there was a large fountain full of Lego bricks in the reception area. Our room was on the fifth floor, the room number was 534. After we dropped off our bags in our room we explored the hotel for a little while before we went for dinner.

At dinner, we were surprised to find that the food was halal and we could eat as much as we liked. We ate our dinner quickly because we wanted to be in time for a play which was going to start shortly after.

The play was based on the Cinderella story, but the main characters were big puppets that looked like Lego action figures. The story seemed to be aimed at girls but I still liked the play.

When the play finished we took some pictures with the actors and then we went to the reception area to play with the Lego bricks in the large fountain. We were there for a long time and made some interesting models including a huge tower, a helicopter, some dinosaurs and the numbers in 2014.

We stayed at the hotel for one night. During the night my brother, mum and I couldn’t sleep so we all got up. We found a sheet of paper that had some clues on it. The clues gave us the combination to a lock on a box which had three prizes in it.

I was hoping that the prize would include the Lego Movie DVD but instead they were some Lego models. After that we finally fell asleep.

When we woke up we went to a swimming pool and we stayed there for one hour. We all had a good swim including my sister Sara who is just learning how to swim. I really enjoyed doing cannonballs into the swimming pool. After the swim we had our breakfast and then we got ready to leave Legoland.

As we left Legoland we got a little lost but while we tried to find our way we saw an eagle flying in the sky. We are not sure exactly what kind of eagle it was but it was white in colour with grey feathers on the tail end of its wings.

It took one hour to get home but it felt like half an hour because I had lots of fun in the car playing with the prize that I found in the box. I really liked it at Legoland and really want to go there again.
