A Christmas Day Walk

It was Christmas Day but we don’t really celebrate Christmas in our family because we are Muslims. We decided to go for a walk in central London instead. We thought it would be quiet and not very busy but it was so busy that it took a long time to find a parking space.
When we finally found a parking space we walked past the Mall to Trafalgar Square. We took lots of pictures of the four lions in Trafalgar Square. My brother and my sister climbed the stairs to the lions with me. There were two sets of fountains in Trafalgar Square and my brother and I threw a coin in one fountain.
After we left Trafalgar Square we crossed a bridge called Hungerford Bridge. The bridge crosses over the River Thames to the Embankment on the other side. We walked along the side of the River Thames and then we walked past the London Eye and then we crossed Westminster Bridge to Big Ben.
After that we went back to our car to have some snacks. Once we had our snacks we went to Regent Street to see the Christmas lights and also to see the window display at Hamleys, one of the biggest toy shops in the world and definitely the most famous.
Finally, we went back home and by the time we got home it was 11:30 at night. When I went to bed I fell asleep straight away!
