Fun Facts about Joan of Arc

I chose to write some fun facts about Joan of Arc because I like history so I did not want to choose someone modern.

The “bob” style haircut, created in 1909 by a Polish born hairstylist living in Paris, was inspired by Joan of Arc.
Joan’s birthplace in Domrémy is now a museum.
In her trial the judge said Joan should be killed for wearing men’s clothes even after being warned not to. Joan agreed to wear women’s clothes. She wore male clothes again. It could have been because her dress had been stolen and she was left with nothing else to wear.
She was a peasant girl born in the east of France.
Joan said that she had visions from God. In these visions, she said, God told her to take back her homeland from England rule late in the Hundred Years’ War.
While in court the people were more worried about her mental health even though she had been proved, at that time, healthy mentally.
At the age of thirteen Joan claimed to have had her first vision.
